Two of the actors who portrayed the famous Marlboro Man in the successful advertising campaign which began in the 50s, Wayne McClaren and David McClean, died from lung cancer as a result of smoking. In fact, McClean’s family even filed a lawsuit against Philip Morris (who manufacture Marlboro).
#17 Smoking Lights Or Menthols
A lot of people cite the fact that they smoke a lighter cigarette or the menthol variety as proof that they aren’t as bad as heavier cigarettes. The problem is however, that people who smoke these typically take a longer draw, resulting in similar amount of tar and nicotine.
